If you wake up at 3 a.m. or another time and can ‘t fall right back asleep, it may be for several reasons. These include lighter sleep cycles, stress, or underlying health conditions. Your 3 a.m. awakenings may occur infrequently and be nothing serious, but regular nights like this could be a sign of insomnia.
But if you can stand, the prayer protocol is that one must stand to offer the prayer and if you can sit but can ‘t stand, then sitting is acceptable etc. However, if you want to offer the prayer lying in bed even if you can stand or sit, it’s between you and God. You can pray anywhere.

This is the period to pray for God’s provision to be released (Luke 11:5-13; Acts 16:3). It is also time for miracles and for applying the Blood of Jesus. Often, we are awakened during this time with dreams God has given to us.

To Heal A Friend Think, O’ God , of our friend who is ill, whom we now commend to Your compassionate regard. that no healing is too hard if it be Your will. We therefore pray that You bless our friend with Your loving care, renew his/her strength, and heal what ails him/her in Your loving name.

There is nothing in the Bible that says to pray before eating , but we do it, as others have written, because we are following Messiah’s example.
