Now I lay me down to sleep , I pray the Lord my soul to keep, watch and guard me through the night, and wake me with the morning light. Father, you know my worries and care for my troubles. So I give these heavy concerns to you. I lay these situations at your feet.
Loving God , I pray that you will comfort me in my suffering, lend skill to the hands of my healers, and bless the means used for my cure. Give me such confidence in the power of your grace, that even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you; through our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

If you wake up at 3 a.m. or another time and can ‘t fall right back asleep, it may be for several reasons. These include lighter sleep cycles, stress, or underlying health conditions. Your 3 a.m. awakenings may occur infrequently and be nothing serious, but regular nights like this could be a sign of insomnia.
But if you can stand, the prayer protocol is that one must stand to offer the prayer and if you can sit but can ‘t stand, then sitting is acceptable etc. However, if you want to offer the prayer lying in bed even if you can stand or sit, it’s between you and God. You can pray anywhere.
Some people ask why God doesn’t answer , or doesn’t always answer , their prayers . But the fact is, God does answer prayer . In fact, God answers every prayer . If you think about it, though, you can understand why he doesn’t answer every prayer with a “Yes,” immediately.
So here are some ways we can get in the FLOW, keep our minds set on the things above, and level out our peaks and valleys. Faith – Place our faith actively in God . Love – Love God and love others without judgment. Obey – Obey God in His timing. Worship – Worship God with a thankful heart.
Take time to remember how much God loves you and those you are praying for. Remember all the ways God has been faithful in the past. Pray the Word. Be comfortable not knowing what to pray. Invite others to pray with you. Find peace in surrendering to God’s will. Worship God.
Is praying to God in your head the same as praying to God out loud? No. Although both forms of prayer have their own significance, their own time and place. If your prayer takes on the form of meditation, it is going to be an inner conversation with God, a silent ”in your head ” prayer .
By praying every night , it gives you that chance to feel loved and supported every single day. That is something we all need to feel on a daily basis. When you take the time to pray at night , you ‘ re setting yourself up for a good night’s rest. You can ask for answers in your dreams and then look for them!
Dear Lord, Help me remember what a difference it makes when I make time with You a priority in my morning. Awaken me in body and spirit each day with a desire to meet with You and to hear You speak words of affirmation, assurance, and wisdom over my heart as I prepare to go into my day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Here are 20 simple ways to fall asleep as fast as possible. Lower the temperature. Use the 4-7-8 breathing method. Get on a schedule. Experience both daylight and darkness. Practice yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. Avoid looking at your clock. Avoid naps during the day. Watch what and when you eat.
Jesus said, “ Sleep and take your rest later on” (Matthew 26:45). There’s a time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1). While sleeping in place of physically working is definitely condemned in the Bible , perhaps what is even more hurtful to ourselves is when we sleep in place of prayer.
Tips When talking to God make sure you do so in a way that feels most comfortable to you. When writing to God , make sure to use pen and paper. It’s ideal to find a quiet space to talk to God . Read your religious scripture if that is your source of faith. To talk to God , open up your heart.
