If you have completed the aforementioned quests, you will need 51,656 dragon or wyvern bones to get from level 32 Prayer to 99 .
Burying bones and scattering ashes To bury bones or scatter ashes, simply left-click on the bone or ashes in your inventory. Many players with a high Construction level choose to build a gilded altar with incense burners in their house as this is a much faster way to gain Prayer experience than any other.
These bones can be used for the best Prayer experience in the game, but they are very expensive; when used at a gilded altar, they require 19.79 coins per experience, while regular dragon bones use 7.93 coins per experience. As such, the most economical use is as a secondary for making super antifire potions.
The only way to train Prayer is by burying Bones or Big Bones. If you were to just sit there and bury regular bones from level 1 – 99, it would take over 1000 hours and would cost you over 200 000 000. Big bones would take about 300 – 400 hours to bury to level 99.
If you do the cheapest potions and no Overloads, the minimum cost for 99 Herblore will be 52M GP, and it will take you 42-45 hours . The maximum cost will be 212M GP and takes you 25-27 hours .
This expands rapidly to a total 13,034,431 experience needed for level 99 . Level 85 requires nearly one quarter of the experience needed for level 99 and level 92 is nearly the exact halfway mark, requiring 6,517,253 experience.

The Chaos Temple is a structure in level 38 Wilderness, west of the Lava Maze. It contains a chaos altar where players can recharge and train their Prayer. Free players may visit the temple , however only members may take advantage of the altar’s benefits.
Big bones , along with all other types of bones can be used on the altars , granting 4 times the normal experience. This may be especially worthwhile with big bones and dragon bones . To free up your inventory space, you can place bones on the table in the Smuggler’s room without fear of them disappearing.
In Runescape Classic, Elvarg dropped dragon bones that free-to-play players could Telegrab once they defeated her. These bones were labelled as Members object and could not be used unless the player was a member .
Requiring 70 Prayer to use, superior dragon bones give 150 experience when buried, 525 Prayer experience when offered at a gilded altar with 2 burners lit, or 600 Prayer experience when offered at the Ectofuntus.
You can select which prayers are activated by right-clicking the button and choosing the “Setup quick- prayers ” option. Before the addition of this function, players had to, sometimes frantically, locate the prayer tab and activate them one by one.
