There’s been over 140 national days of prayer Since the 1700s to now, America has called for over 140 national days of prayer , humiliation, fasting, and thanksgiving by the President.
The National Day of Prayer is observed annually on the first Thursday in May , which is today, May 7 . This day observance, designated by the United States Congress, asks people βto turn to God in prayer and meditation.β For many, prayer is an integral part of daily life.
