Big bones , along with all other types of bones can be used on the altars , granting 4 times the normal experience. This may be especially worthwhile with big bones and dragon bones . Current GE prices put prayer potions at 6957 per 3 doses or 2319 per dose. So unless you plan on using a lot of prayer potions it’s not really worth getting 99 prayer but if you’re doing something that uses prayer constantly like Dk’s it’ll pay for it’s self eventually.
Absolutely worth it for me, and my bank was about half of yours. Also, remember that upgrading to T99 prayers is a higher damage increase than upgrading from a T90 to T92 weapon, so if you’re thinking of buying a Staff of Silske or whatever, you should get the prayer first.
