Regular persistent prayer draws us closer to Him. It may seem that we are a squeaky wheel if we keep going to Him, but the Lord welcomes our prayers and encourages us to approach Him with our cries. He hears us and will come to our aid in ways we may not expect.

is that endurance is the measure of a person’s stamina or persistence while perseverance is continuing in a course of action without regard to discouragement, opposition or previous failure.
But knowing how to pray is not always easy. Jesus’ disciples felt the same confusion. I hope they will encourage you to make 2021 a year of prayer . Know to whom you are speaking. Thank him. Ask for God’s will. Say what you need. Ask for forgiveness. Pray with a friend. Pray the Word. Memorize Scripture.
THAT’s vain repetition . That’s saying one prayer over and over and over and over and over VAINLY. Now, just to repeat a thing? That isn’t it. For example, turn to Daniel 9, and notice this great prayer of repentance, how the same thing is repeated over and over again, and the Lord’s name is repeated over again.
First Thessalonians 5:17, however, not only provided me with 5 cents but with a question. The text says , “ Pray without ceasing .” Three simple words, but what could they possibly mean?
Ask God for what you want as much as it occupies your mind, because it’s those nagging, horrible, conflicting, heartbreaking needs that linger in your mind beyond one quick begging session. Selfishness is praying with the wrong motive. God searches the heart of man and He knows why we do what we do. When you pray with the wrong motive, you don’t receive answers to your prayers . For instance praying against someone just because they don’t agree with you is a wrong prayer , which will not be answered .
