Here goes: Pray that God gives him a spirit of wisdom and revelation. Pray that God is drawing Him into a closer relationship with Himself. Pray that He is a man of the Word. Declare that he is a man of his word. Declare that he is a leader. Pray that he will be a great father (if you desire children) Pray for his peace.
1. Matthew 6:33 “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” As a wife in waiting, you need to be in prayer that your future husband is, above everything else, seeking Christ and His Kingdom FIRST in his life.
Prayer changes us. Prayer turns us into people who trust God. So even if God doesn’t want you to end up married, praying for your future husband will help you trust God with your future . Trust that He knows what’s best for your life.
Originally Answered: It is ok to pray for a specific person to be my spouse ? Sure, as long as you recognize that God isn’t your genie, and if His plan for the other person is to be the spouse of someone else, then you can pray all you want but it won’t happen.
God’s word says in Proverbs 18:22, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord .” That means the man has to come pursue you . You have to allow God to reveal it to him and give him the go-ahead to begin pursuing you . God didn’t tell you so that you can go tell him and start pursuing him.
When there is mutual interest, mutual commitment, and a mutual willingness to move the relationship forward at a healthy pace, these are strong indications God does want you with this person. Relationships are a unique place in life where the spiritual and practical combine and are constantly intermingling.
Praying for a husband is not a selfish act, it is actually very selfless if we do it right. I actually don’t think we give prayer enough credit seeing as how we tend to use it as a last resort rather than the first option.
“So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find ; knock, and it will be opened to you.” And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Psalm 37:4 says “Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” We can rest in knowing that He put those desires for a wife on our hearts, so this is indeed something good that He wants for us.

Prayer for Direction God of wisdom, please direct my heart into finding the right man to love and marry. Direct my steps towards a path that leads me to the husband You have prepared for me to spend my life with. Lead me to the right decisions. Bring me to the right places that I should be at.
Make my heart be filled with joy and happiness. Let my matter be important in his heart. Lord, you are the highest, please let my love in heart be the best. Let him see no other woman save me.
You are not required to be married as a Christian. The Bible says you can choose to be married if you want, but it is not a biblical command for all Christians. Singleness is also a gift and a very biblical option (1 Corinthians 7:7).
Dear Lord, I pray that you may grant me the happiness that I truly deserve by letting my love come back to me. Help him/her to realize that I love him/her so much, and I am always here for him/her. Let him/her have a change of heart and come back to me. Dear Lord, you know that I truly cherish this man/woman.
I pray they turn to you for direction and forgiveness and see how much they have hurt me . Please give me eyes to see them from your perspective, and a heart to want to forgive. I ask for patience while you work your will and to show me how to be the loving Christian you have called me to be.”
