I pray that You would go before me today. Please take down all that the devil is scheming to attack me with. Prepare my heart and mind this morning for whatever I will face today. Help me put on my armor firmly and securely, so that I’m ready for battle.

The phrase “Armor of God” (Greek: πανοπλίαν τοῦ Θεοῦ, panoplian tou Theou) is derived from Ephesians 6 :11: “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” ( King James Version ).

Put on the whole armor of God , that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. TRiPS stands for: Truth (belt) Righteousness (breastplate) Peace (the good news of peace – shoes) Salvation (Helmet).
As believers, we are constantly in a war. God provides us with the armor we need to fight these spiritual battles. He gives us the belt of truth, body armor of righteousness, shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit.
Ephesians 6:10-20 Put on the whole armor of God , that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
How will I get the armor of God ? We “ put it on” by seeking God and His righteousness above everything else (Matthew 6:33). We make Him and His ways our dwelling place (Psalm 91:1). We delight in His commands and desire for His ways to become our ways (Psalm 37:4; 119:24, 111; Isaiah 61:10).

The fourth piece of armor Paul discusses in Ephesians 6 is the shield of faith . He tells us to take up the shield of faith in order to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. To have faith is to believe God created the world and sent His only Son to die for our sins so we might have eternal life.

The Fruit of the Holy Spirit is a biblical term that sums up nine attributes of a person or community living in accord with the Holy Spirit , according to chapter 5 of the Epistle to the Galatians: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
