Asking God to forgive your sins is an important process. It is important that you admit what you did wrong and truly feel sorry that you did it. You must come to God , pray using scripture, and ask Him to forgive you. Then you must believe that he has.
In the Christian Scriptures, there are three verses that take up the subject of unforgivable sin. In the Book of Matthew (12: 31-32), we read, “Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.
Psalm 51 is one of the most famous psalms of forgiveness . It’s often quoted to show the depth of our human sin, subsequent guilt, and the need for repentance. As you read over King David’s pleas for forgiveness , reflect on God’s love, mercy and forgiveness for all mankind.
Jesus forgives all sin “… the blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purifies us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). This means that any sin we commit, including infidelity, can be forgiven when we come to Jesus with a repentant heart.
Steps to Seeking Forgiveness Seek to understand: “How did I hurt you. How did that made you feel?” Empathize: “I understand that made you feel ___________.” Admit the wrong: “I was wrong. I shouldn’t have_____________.” Repent: I’m sorry I hurt you. I don’t want to hurt you that way again.” Ask for forgiveness : “Will you forgive me?”
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.
One eternal or unforgivable sin (blasphemy against the Holy Spirit) is specified in several passages of the Synoptic Gospels, including Mark 3:28–29, Matthew 12:31–32, and Luke 12:10.
In all four Gospels, Jesus notes the importance of forgiving others to ensure God’s forgiveness . When he cries out from the cross, he does not say to his attackers, “I forgive you,” or, as he has before, “Your sins are forgiven you.” Instead, he prays that God might forgive them.
Leviticus 19:28 reads, ” You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord”. Even devout Christian Mr Folau has a couple of tattoos of his own – so there are a lot of sinners going straight to Hell for this one .
1 God Does Not Count the Times But Jesus said ” seventy times seven” (Matthew 18:21-22).
God speaks through thoughts and feelings No, but he will help you “ hear ” him through thoughts and feelings.
In truth the Bible lists three unforgivable sins, which contradicts what Jesus said about the subject they are as follows: Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit we all know this one that’s where the Pharisees accuse Jesus of being demon possessed. Apostasy a willful defection from the faith. Receiving the mark of the beast.
But God says to forgive , which is an act of obedience to Him. It is when you obey God that the healing process begins. Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Forgiveness is an act of compassion, kindness, and mercy.
What should we do when we feel obligated to forgive but too deeply hurt to restore a relationship with the one who hurt us? Jesus said : “When you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins” (Mark 11:25).
