The five daily prayers include: Fajr (sunrise prayer ), Dhuhr (noon prayer ), Asr (afternoon prayer ), Maghrib (sunset prayer ), and Isha (night prayer ).
It is interesting to note that the names of the ritual prayers are related to the times of the day that they are prescribed within,which are: Fajr or Subuh (dawn), Zuhr (afternoon), ʽAsr (late afternoon), Maghrib (just after sunset) and Isha (night).
Or anytime ? 5 prayers are mandatory and minimum. Any other time, if a person wants to they can pray extra if they want with the exception of the 10 minutes after sunrise and during the zenith.
Why do some Shias pray three times a day ? By day , here stands for 24 hours. Certainly in 24 hours Obligatory Prayers are five, since time given are three, so any Muslim can adjust two prayers of Zuhr & Asr and two prayers of Maghrib & Isha but Middle Prayer of Fajr can not be adjusted with any of the four Prayers .
Muhammad clearly stated that “all intoxicants are forbidden in Islam .” Smoking a cigarette falls just short of this categorical ban on intoxicants. So Muslims do smoke .

As an Islamic day starts at sunset, the Maghrib prayer is technically the first prayer of the day. If counted from midnight, it is the fourth prayer of the day. As for Shia Muslims, since they allow Maghrib and Isha prayers to be performed one after another, the period for Maghrib prayer extends until dawn.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The time of ‘Isha’ is until midnight ” (narrated by Muslim, al-Masaajid wa Mawaadi’ al-Salaah, 964).
Worshipers face the Kaaba in Mecca when praying . Shiite male worshippers often wear nothing on their heads when praying . Like Maliki Sunnis and Shias , pray with hands open to their sides. Do not say ‘Amen’ after the Fatiha, and do not say the qunut invocation in the fajr prayer .
They believe God chose Ali to be Muhammad’s successor, infallible, the first caliph (khalifah, head of state) of Islam . The Shia believe that Muhammad designated Ali as his successor by God’s command (Eid Al Ghadir).
Shi’a Muslims have more freedom to combine certain prayers, such as the midday and afternoon prayers. Therefore they may only pray three times a day. Shi’a Muslims also often use natural elements when praying.
