“When we pray , we must pray together, ready to act on our prayer .” But the harsh truth is that, at times, we use prayer as a way of ignoring the need for action .
As Christians we are taught to pray about anything that burdens us, to take all of our problems to the Lord. The truth is that all prayers require action . When we pray we are saying to God that “we need you,” that “ without you we can do nothing.” Prayer is also an act of faith.
Bible teaches us that prayer without action is just noise. Let me make my confession: I am tired — I am so very tired — of arguing about “thoughts and prayers.” Don’t get me wrong: We could use a good argument. We have a lot to debate in this country right now.
– As long as your prayers are for selfish motives, driven by pride hidden in your heart, God will not answer them. – Once you know God has said yes, you know you will receive it. With that thanksgiving, you will have the “peace of God that surpasses all understanding”.
Faith Alone . God’s Word says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own efforts or works (Ephesians 2:8-9). Faith Alone . Grace alone means that God loves, forgives, and saves us not because of who we are or what we do, but because of the work of Christ.
Regardless of when and how you found religion , what are you going to do about it now? Faith being a verb rather than a noun requires action .
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action , is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith ; I have deeds .” Show me your faith without deeds , and I will show you my faith by what I do. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.
It means helping those who are in need. Putting faith into action also means loving our neighbor as ourselves, even when our neighbor looks nothing like us, even when we live in one part of the world and our neighbor lives in another, even when we have one color of skin and our neighbor has another.
Faith is defined as trust or confidence, a belief in religion or God, or a strongly held belief. If you have complete confidence and trust in your spouse, this is an example of when you have faith in your spouse. If you believe in God, this is an example of having religious faith and of having faith in God.
Prayer in the Hebrew Bible is an evolving means of interacting with God, most frequently through a spontaneous, individual, unorganized form of petitioning and/or thanking. In these instances, such as with Isaac, Moses, Samuel, and Job, the act of praying is a method of changing a situation for the better.
The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God . And the peace of God , which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Some people ask why God doesn’t answer , or doesn’t always answer , their prayers . But the fact is, God does answer prayer . In fact, God answers every prayer .
Dua must be devoid of sin: If one asked Allah, “O Allah, make me a Prophet”, then this not permitted and is transgressing beyond bounds and is not accepted by Allah. If a person was to supplicate against the one he has oppressed, it will not be accepted .
If God only answers prayers that are in alignment with his will, it would be wise to pray his will. If you want to know the will of God , it always starts with knowing the word of God . In short, when you pray biblical prayers , you are praying prayers that God will answer .
