“When we pray , we must pray together, ready to act on our prayer .” But the harsh truth is that, at times, we use prayer as a way of ignoring the need for action .
As Christians we are taught to pray about anything that burdens us, to take all of our problems to the Lord. The truth is that all prayers require action . When we pray we are saying to God that “we need you,” that “ without you we can do nothing.” Prayer is also an act of faith.
17 Even so a faith , if it hath not b works , is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say , Thou hast faith , and I have works : shew me thy faith without thy works , and I will shew thee my a faith by my b works . 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the adevils also bbelieve, and tremble.
The divine power of Spirit that can be felt during silent prayer helps us feel the healing and protecting presence of our Father in heaven. In the silence of prayer we are able to know and feel the always present, all-knowing God who answers our every call.
Faith Alone . God’s Word says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own efforts or works (Ephesians 2:8-9). Faith Alone . Grace alone means that God loves, forgives, and saves us not because of who we are or what we do, but because of the work of Christ.
Regardless of when and how you found religion , what are you going to do about it now? Faith being a verb rather than a noun requires action .
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action , is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith ; I have deeds .” Show me your faith without deeds , and I will show you my faith by what I do. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! John 8:24 unless you believe that I am who I claim to be, you will die in your sins.
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.” We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat.
According to evangelical theology, good works are the consequence of salvation and not its justification. They are the sign of a sincere and grateful faith . They include actions for the Great Commission, that is, evangelism, service in the Church and charity.
Faith is defined as trust or confidence, a belief in religion or God, or a strongly held belief. If you have complete confidence and trust in your spouse, this is an example of when you have faith in your spouse. If you believe in God, this is an example of having religious faith and of having faith in God.
When Paul speaks of ” faith without works of law” (Romans 3:28) he certainly does not mean faith that neglects to obey God’s law. By ” faith without works ” Paul does not mean a disobedient faith .
You can either pray your prayers in your mind or speak them out loud. God is able to hear your prayers either way!
But if you can stand, the prayer protocol is that one must stand to offer the prayer and if you can sit but can’t stand, then sitting is acceptable etc. However, if you want to offer the prayer lying in bed even if you can stand or sit, it’s between you and God. You can pray anywhere.
Is praying to God in your head the same as praying to God out loud? No. Although both forms of prayer have their own significance, their own time and place. If your prayer takes on the form of meditation, it is going to be an inner conversation with God, a silent ”in your head ” prayer .
