A salvation prayer, known by many Christians as a “Sinners Prayer,” is a prayer one would say to repent from sin, ask God for forgiveness, confess belief in Jesus Christ, and accept him as Lord and Savior. Saying a salvation prayer is the first step in your relationship with God.
Through prayer, invite Jesus into your heart to become your personal Lord and Savior . “For with the heart (core being) man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” ( Romans 10:10) “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” ( Romans 10:13)
Asking for Salvation Through Prayer. Confess your sins through prayer to communicate with God . When you commit a sin, sit down and take time to think about what happened. Use the time to pray in whatever manner you prefer, and be honest about what happened and why it happened.
Remember to explain to your children that these are not “magic” words that will save them, but that they should mean what they say with their hearts. Lord Jesus I know I am a sinner . I believe you died for me on the cross so that I might be saved. Right now I ask You to forgive me of all my sins.
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.
God’s Word says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own efforts or works (Ephesians 2:8-9). Grace Alone. Faith Alone. Grace alone means that God loves, forgives, and saves us not because of who we are or what we do, but because of the work of Christ. Our salvation is in God’s hands.
In the Christian Scriptures, there are three verses that take up the subject of unforgivable sin . In the Book of Matthew (12: 31-32), we read, “Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven .
Thank You Jesus, for rising from the dead to give me life (John 14:6). Come into my heart by Your Holy Spirit to lead and live in me. Thank You Father that right now, I am born again (John 3:3), as a fresh, new child of God (2 Corinthians 5:17), forever set free by Your truth (John 8:32).
Salvation is made possible by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, which in the context of salvation is referred to as the “atonement”. At the heart of Christian faith is the reality and hope of salvation in Jesus Christ.
Tips Forgive yourself. Remember there is no limit on forgiveness. Change your environment. Know one thing that because of our sins Jesus was wounded, beaten because of the evil we did. Realize you are the only one who can change yourself (put on the armor of God). Believe things will change.
By accepting Christ, you can come before God and be born again . If you want to be born again , start by becoming a Christian . Then, live your life for Jesus as best you can. Finally, you can grow your faith by attending church, reading the Bible, and praying.
Ask Jesus to come into your life through the prayer of salvation. Simply acknowledging that Jesus is the Son of God and he died for our sins isn’t enough to get you into heaven . You have to make a conscious decision to become a follower of Jesus, praying to God for forgiveness for your sins.
