One is public worship with the church. We have just studied public worship . The second is private worship . Private worship is worship given to God by one person (or family) while he is alone.
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord , and he will reward them for what they have done.” The Good News: In many ways, the mere act of being charitable is its own reward. But as this verse notes, being compassionate to people who are less fortunate is also something that God will reward.
Praying together reminds you that God is the sole source of life, truth, love, and hope: When you pray together , you are focusing your minds, hearts, and marriage on God. You are making your marriage God-centered. You are sharing with Him your deepest needs and desires, hopes and dreams… together .
Intercessory prayer is beneficial for the one who prays. Many times we feel so helpless — that loved one is beyond our reach, somebody is gravely ill, some situation is out of hand — but we can always pray . Not only is prayer for others our privilege and in some sense our duty, at times it is our own salvation.
