Friday ir in Arabic JUMMAH literally means congregation. It is a day when GOD has told every beliver to pray in congregation. Our PROPHET MUHAMMAD (PEACEBE UPON HIM) said Friday is the best day. It is the day the first human ie Adam (Peace be upon him) was created.
The Jumu’ah prayer is half the Zuhr (dhuhr) prayer , for convenience, preceded by a khutbah (a sermon as a technical replacement of the two reduced rakaʿāt of the ordinary Zuhr (dhuhr) prayer ), and followed by a congregational prayer , led by the imām. This signals the start of the main two rak’at prayer of Jumu’ah.
At Friday prayers , also called Jumu’ah, he preaches a sermon using words from the Qur’an. The Friday prayers are obligatory for men. Before worshipping Allah, Muslims perform ritual washing called wudu, to prepare for prayer .
Regarding Jumu’ah (Friday) Prayer. It consists of 2 Rakat mandatory Sunnah before the Arabic Khutbah and followed by 4 Rakat Sunnah after the 2 Fard Rakat and then 2 Rakat Sunnah and 2 Rakat Nafl. There are two Eid prayers in a year, Eid-ul-fitr and Eid-ul-adha.
1- It is certainly permissible for women to pray the Friday (Jumu`ah) Prayer in the mosque even if it is not obligatory for them. It is a well-known fact that women used to attend prayers including that of Friday at the Prophet’s Mosque during his time.
The religious significance The Qur’an invokes the importance of Friday as a sacred day of worship in a chapter called “Al-Jumah,” meaning the day of congregation, which is also the word for Friday in Arabic. When you are called to congregational (Friday) prayer, hasten to the remembrance of God and leave off trade.
It is not mandatory for a person to offer Friday prayers in the Mosque. The companions of the Holy Prophet (s.a.) use to offer Friday prayers where ever they were. The only requirement is that there be at least two people. If you have a brother or father at home , they can help you lead, in the privacy of your home .
Prayer longs approximately 5 or 10 minutes. (two rakats). Some people also pray sunna prayer ,some other leaves mosque after prayer . Some Muslims go mosque just in time.
Hadith on Missing Three consecutive Jummah For women, Jummah is not mandatory but they are allowed to go to the masjid. For those traveling, friday prayer is not obligatory. If there is no valid excuse for missing Jummah salat for those who it is obligatory then this is considered a sin.
Therefore, mention in hadith elevates the importance of the pertinent surah from a certain perspective. In the Friday prayer he (Muhammad) would recite Surah Al-Jumua and Surah Al-Munafiqun (63).

During Jummah , the congregation are able to give to charity which is one of the 5 Pillars of Islam. Also daily prayer is one of the 5 Pillars of Islam. These must be followed by all Muslims. Therefore it is more important than Jummah .
The Juma’ah Khutba is counted as two rakats of prayer.
According to the above-mentioned Hadith, the person should start his Prayer saying ”Allah-u-Akbar” (Allah is the greatest), raising both of his hands to the level of his shoulders or ears then he should fold his hands over his chest right hand over the left hand. This applies equally to men and women. 3.
Part 2 of 2: Delivering the Khutbah Go up to the pulpit and greet the congregation. Stand up and recite the Khutbat-ul-Haajjah. Recite verses of taqwa (piety). Recite another du’a. Start your khutbah . Sit down for a moment or two. Stand up again and praise Allah. End the sermon with du’as and salawat.
