It depends on where you are. The first of the five calls to prayer happens just before sunrise (usually around 5am) and the last between sunset and midnight (usually after 9pm).
The five daily prayers include: Fajr (sunrise prayer ), Dhuhr (noon prayer ), Asr (afternoon prayer ), Maghrib (sunset prayer ), and Isha (night prayer ).
Muslims pray five times a day , with their prayers being known as Fajr (dawn), Dhuhr (after midday), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (sunset), Isha (nighttime), facing towards Mecca.
The Fajr prayer (Arabic: صلاة الفجر ṣalāt al-faǧr, “dawn prayer “) is one of the five mandatory salah ( Islamic prayer ). As an Islamic day starts at sunset, the Fajr prayer is technically the third prayer of the day. If counted from midnight, it is the first prayer of the day.
God Almighty says, “Establish obligatory prayers . Verily, such prayers are enjoined on the believers at stated times” (Quran 4:103). So, you should pray Fajr as soon as you can after waking up.
No,you can ‘t. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The time of ‘ Isha ‘ is until midnight ” (narrated by Muslim, al-Masaajid wa Mawaadi’ al-Salaah, 964). Yet if there is undue hardship in this, one may perform isha any time in the night, as long as it is done before fajr.
The purpose of the Azan is to invite Muslims for obligatory (farz) prayers , the salat (or what is also called namaz in north India). Shia scholars, however, do not subscribe to Sunni arguments.

The azan is the commencement of prayers time if you are alone or in a jamath it’s not impossible to say your salat, you should recite the azan then the iqamat and then say your prayers , provided the time has commenced, otherwise your prayers are not valid they would become nafl prayers of the previous time.
One can offer zuhr prayers from noon onwards until one has the time left to offer Asr prayers before its sunset. From sunset starts the time of Maghrib prayers . As soon as one finish Maghrib prayers one can start his or her Isha prayers .
You should pray when the time begins and before it ends. However if you miss the time for whatever reason you still need to pray fajr as soon as you can it would just be considered late.
What is the ruling if I only pray Fard prayers according to Islamic laws? The ruling is that there’s no sin on the person who maintains only the fard (obligatory) prayers and skips nawafil (voluntary) ones. The Prophet of Allah (PBUH) was once enquired by a man regarding the duties of a Muslim.
In Islam the sacred direction is towards Mecca, or more precisely, towards the sacred Kaaba in Mecca. Muslims face this direction in prayer and during various other ritual acts. Muslim astronomers from the 9th century onwards dealt with the determination of the qibla, as the sacred direction is called in Arabic.
Many Muslims put so much effort into just about managing to wake up for Fajr at around 4am or 5am, then rush back to bed. However, with roughly the same amount of effort, and a bit of strategy, you can actually do one of the most blessed prayers there is and easily pray Fajr on time.
To begin the act of prayer , they say ‘Allahu Akbar’ meaning God is great, raising the hands to the ears or shoulder. Muslims place their right hand over their left on their chest or navel while in the standing position (this may vary according to the subdivision followed).
Typically 15 minutes prior to sunrise should be enough depending on the length of Soorahs you intend to recite with the Fatiha. After Sun rising and before 12 o’clock you can say Fajr prayer but complete two Sunnat and two farz.
